The Previous Owner’s Electrical System Was a Fire Waiting to Happen. We Caught It Before It Did.

Full Rewire
These clients hired us for a high-end renovation. Before we touched a single finish, our preconstruction walkthrough revealed something that no amount of beautiful tile or custom cabinetry could fix: the home was running on cloth wiring — an aging electrical system that
presents a hidden and serious fire risk.
Unlike a modern breaker that trips when it is overloaded, cloth wiring deteriorates silently. The insulation degrades from the inside out through a process called thermal degradation — overheating repeatedly over years without triggering any warning. There is no alarm, no tripped breaker, no early sign until there is a fire.
It is not a question of if — it is a question of when.
We removed the system entirely and rewired the home to current code, protecting our clients’ investment, their property, and most importantly, their family. The renovation they came to us for was delivered in full—with the peace of mind that comes from knowing the home beneath the finishes is as sound as everything
visible in it.
We also encountered challenges with the project’s material delivery timeline — a designer who was consistently behind on deadlines was creating downstream delays across the entire build schedule. After a
direct conversation with our clients, we restructured the material procurement process around confirmed pickup dates rather than waiting on delivery promises. The project moved forward on schedule from that point forward.
The Lesson
“A renovation that looks exceptional but hides a compromised system is not a finished home — it is a liability waiting to surface. We don’t just build beautiful spaces. We make sure everything behind the walls earns the same standard as what’s in front of them.”
